Photo & video permission

The short version: there's a tick box when you send a clip. Ticking it is what lets us show the clip anywhere — in our advertising and on our site. If you don't tick it we still receive the clip, but we won't publish it anywhere at all. You can ask us to stop using it at any time and we will.

What this covers

This applies to any photo or video you upload to a SoundKeeps song page, or send to us by email or message with a clip attached.

If you leave the box unticked

The clip reaches us and we'd still love to see it, but we won't publish it anywhere — not in an advertisement, not on our website, not on our reviews page, not on social media. It stays internal. We may write to you later to ask whether you'd be willing to let us use it, and you're free to say no.

If you tick the box

You give SoundKeeps permission to:

  • Show your clip, and the people and voices in it, in our advertising and marketing — including paid ads on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Google, our own website, our emails, and our social accounts.
  • Edit it in the ordinary ways an ad needs: trim it, crop it, add captions or our logo, adjust the sound, or use a short section of it.
  • Use the song that plays in the clip alongside it.
  • Use your first name and the recipient's first name if they can be heard or seen in the clip. We will not add your surname, address, or contact details.

This permission is worldwide and has no time limit, but see Changing your mind below — it is not irrevocable.

What you're confirming

  • You filmed the clip, or you have the right to share it.
  • Everyone recognisable in it is happy for it to be used this way. If someone in the clip is under 18, you are their parent or guardian and you agree on their behalf.
  • The clip doesn't contain anything you don't have the right to share, such as music or footage belonging to someone else.

Changing your mind

Email support@soundkeeps.com and we'll stop using the clip in anything new, and take it out of the ads we control, as quickly as the platforms allow. Copies already downloaded or reshared by other people are outside our control, and adverts already delivered cannot be recalled — which is the honest limit of what any company can promise here.

Is there any payment?

No. Sending a clip is a favour, not a transaction — there's no payment, no gift card, and no discount attached to it. Saying no changes nothing about your song, your free revisions, or anything else you've paid for.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your clip to anyone else.
  • We don't use it to train models.
  • We don't publish your email address, surname, or order details.
